Summer flies by way too fast, in my opinion. There are so many fun things to do and so little time. At the same time, sometimes, it can be a bit challenging to figure out what to do with kids, or even with your friends or other family members. If you need something else to add on to your list, I highly recommended checking out the Jeter Mountain Farm opening weekend! Below, you will find more information regarding their opening weekend, what they have to offer, and a little bit about their overall business! Trust me – you want to keep reading!
Jeter Mountain Farm Opening Weekend
July 23rd and July 24th, Jeter Mountain Farm is opening back up their U-pick season with u-pick blueberries, peaches, and sunflowers, too (the sunflowers are a new addition!!!). They said, “We are excited to introduce our U-Pick Sunflower experience for the 2021 season! We’ve added a stop to our u-pick wagon route and are looking forward to having families cut their own sunflower blooms, and enjoy the one-of-a-kind scenery of the new Jeter Mountain Farm Sunflower Field.” All summer starting on July 23rd, Jeter Mountain Farm will be open on Fridays from 10-5 and on Saturdays from 9-3. If you need something to do on the 23rd and 24th, I highly recommend checking out this fun upcoming event!
Their hope is that laughter will fill your wagon ride out to their u-pick orchards and that your family will be delighted to fill your baskets with the berries, peaches, pumpkins, grapes and over 20 varieties of apples that they grow. They say, “Located just minutes from downtown historic Hendersonville and Brevard, and a quick trip from Asheville or Greenville, SC, we look forward to welcoming you to the farm – from our family to yours.”
What is Jeter Mountain Farm?
Jeter Mountain Farm Weddings & Events is a Hendersonville-based wedding and event venue + a u-pick farm. It’s located just a few minutes from downtown historic Hendersonville, which is growing rapidly (and becoming so cool), I might add. It’s nestled on 411 private acres of hayfields, wooded forests, and has a picturesque view of beautiful mountains as your backdrop. The actual venue space has 35,000 square feet (!) of the barn and kitchen area. In addition to being a wedding venue, it is also still a working farm with hay cut every year from the fields, over 20 acres of tomatoes grown throughout the summer months, and nearly 5,000 apple trees, a peach orchard, and berry patch! Pretty cool, right? The deeds go back to 1813 and the farm has a long, beautiful history. It’s honestly the perfect place to get married, or to hold an event such as a baby or bridal shower. The owners of Jeter Mountain Farm
Jeter Mountain Farm is family-owned and operated (est. 2005) by the Hunsader family. “Zach and Kayla Hunsader birthed the concept for an event facility shortly after both graduating from Western Carolina University in 2011, while planning their own wedding on the farm. They were married on the farm in June of 2011, soon after opening for their first official operating season in January 2012. Zach claims the titles of the farm handyman, builder, and landscaper while Kayla stays at home raising their son Walton, preparing for the next one on the way.” They say, “We’ve just ended our fourth successful season of weddings at Jeter Mountain Farm, and we can both tell you we would not have our lives any other way. Zach and I are continually blessed with amazing couples and families, that choose to have one of their lives’ biggest days here on the farm. We count ourselves very fortunate each and every day in how God continues to provide a living for us at the same place we call home. So as the winter projects come out, and we prepare for another season, know that this couple is here to make your big day exactly how you dreamed it. We look forward to being your host whether it’s for your first time out, or for the weekend of your long awaited day. Our prayer is that each and every couple would go on the have long blessed marriages, and remember every moment they spent here with a smile!”
